Health Warranty
Deposits
A $300 deposit is required to hold your place of pick/puppy. The $300 deposit is non-refundable. If there are not enough puppies in the upcoming litter, we can tranfer your deposit to another litter.
The non-refundable $300 deposit will be applied to the purchase price of the dog when the buyer assumes
physical possession of the dog. Remainder of the puppy price is due at time of pick up and will need to be
paid in full before puppies are released to their new homes.
Health Warranty
All of our puppies are examined by a licensed veterinarian at 6-7 weeks of age. The veterinarian performs
an overall health check assessment including an examination of their eyes, heart, and mouth. The
veterinarian also administers vaccines to the puppy, and deworming medicine as well. The puppies will also
have had their dew claws removed. (If the Dews grow back, they are the buyer’s responsibility.)
We guarantee our puppies to be in good health at the time of purchase, to the best of our knowledge. If
he/she wishes, the buyer has 72 hours, from date of pick up, to take their puppy to a licensed veterinarian.
If there is a problem that cannot be rectified, the buyer may return their new puppy to us, at the buyer’s
expense, on the day following the vet exam for a replacement puppy (if available) or a full refund of the
purchase price minus deposit. (As long as the puppy is returned in good health)
Replacement Puppy Warranty
We warranty our puppies against severe genetic hip dysplasia for the first two years of age.
The warranty only applies if x-rays are taken before the puppy reaches 26 months of age and is evaluated
by the OFA. No dog over 26 months of age will be covered. We will only honor “OFA” readings. This warranty
only applies to a puppy that has never been bred. If the puppy has been bred before the x-rays have been
evaluated by the OFA, the warranty is Null and Void. If the OFA diagnose that the dog has severe genetic dysplasia then the buyer will qualify for a replacement puppy. The buyer must send us the official
documents from the OFA stating that the dog has severe genetic dysplasia. The dysplasia dog must be
spayed or neutered at buyer’s expense and documents from the vet sent to us at Golden Retrievers of Idaho.
At that time the breeder will replace the dog with a puppy of like quality (when available).
Medical Expenses
All medical expenses from time of pickup are the sole responsibility of the buyer. The seller
does not pay any medical or veterinary fees for any reason, including but not limited to OFA, CERF, shipping of the puppy or dog or any other associated costs.
Right of First Refusal
In the event the puppy buyer cannot keep, wishes to sell, transfer ownership, or dispose of the dog, the
breeder is to be given the “FIRST RIGHT” to take ownership of the puppy.
Under no circumstances is the puppy or dog to end up in a rescue, pound, humane society, etc. All
registration forms and clearances must be returned with the dog.
This contract is only valid with the original purchaser of the puppy and is not transferable.
Limited Registration
We sell our puppies on “Limited Registration”, which means the puppy/dog cannot be bred.
You can purchase AKC Full Registration to approved homes only.
Breeder's Choice
Breeder reserves the right to have first puppy pick from any litter at any time.
